On March 4, 2010 Mitchell died of a heart arrhythmia caused by the congenital, complete heart block he lived with his short life of 25 years. Anyone who knew him knew this condition never stopped him from living his life to the fullest and doing or attaining anything he set out to accomplish.

Mitchell loved his four years of high school at Bishop Brossart and valued his private education. He participated in multiple sports (basketball and baseball) and various clubs. While receiving tuition assistance at BBHS, Mitchell never took his education for granted and knew attending Brossart was a privilege. Help us grant Mitchell’s wish to pay that privilege forward as we establish a scholarship in his name.

Mitchell was always the first to lend a helping hand and was very involved in the community. He continued to volunteer at BBHS after graduation and also was an accomplished coach at St. Mary’s Grade School in Alexandria, KY. He had a way of making everyone feel special and made friends everywhere he went. He loved his family, his friends and always put his heart and soul into anything he did.
